Clark County Fire Department releases July 4th response and fireworks enforcement data

July 17, 2026 by North Las Vegas News

The Clark County Fire Department released operational data regarding emergency responses and illegal fireworks enforcement over the July 4th holiday overnight period.

During the holiday overnight, the department responded to 176 calls involving outside fires and 26 building or vehicle fires. By comparison, on a typical day, the department responds to an average of 15 outside fires and six building fires.

In addition to fire responses, enforcement efforts during the July 4th holiday resulted in 30 citations issued for illegal fireworks and nearly 700 pounds of fireworks collected.

These holiday totals contribute to a broader, year-long initiative. Through an ongoing partnership between the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Clark County Fire Department, and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, a total of 111 citations have been issued and more than 27,100 pounds of illegal fireworks have been collected overall in 2026.
