Key election dates

The election cycle officially kicks into high gear this weekend. If you want to avoid the Tuesday rush, early voting offers a two-week window to cast your vote at your convenience.

  • Early Voting: Saturday, May 23 – Friday, June 5, 2026
  • Primary Election Day: Tuesday, June 9, 2026

For a complete list of polling place hours, physical locations, and specific deadlines, voters should visit the official Clark County Election Department website.

Check your mailbox

If you haven’t checked your mail recently, now is the time to look. Sample ballots and official mail ballots should have been mailed out to all registered voters across Clark County.

Closed primary system

Per Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS 293.257), Nevada operates as a closed primary state. This means the primary ballot you receive depends entirely on your voter registration:

  • Registered Democrats & Republicans: You will exclusively see and select candidates from the political party you are registered with.
  • Nonpartisan & Minor Party Voters: You will not see partisan contests for major Democratic or Republican races. However, you can still vote on nonpartisan contests, including judicial offices.

Note: These restrictions only apply to the Primary Election. During the General Election in November, all voters can choose any candidate in their precinct, regardless of party affiliation.

Digital tools

Nevada provides several online resources to make voting as transparent and seamless as possible:

  • Review & Update Status: Visit the Voter Services website to verify your registration information, make last-minute updates, or view an electronic copy of your sample ballot.
  • Track Your Mail Ballot: To ensure your mail-in vote is received and counted securely, you can track its journey from the mailbox to the election office in real-time at MyBallot.NV.gov.
