LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) advises motorists to expect increased traffic, intermittent restrictions, and altered traffic patterns associated with the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) activities and events in the Las Vegas Valley. Motorists traveling near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and resort corridor should plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution, especially during peak event travel periods.
9 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13
- Temporary shoulder restriping on northbound I-15 between the Tropical Parkway on-ramp and Speedway Boulevard off-ramp
- Temporary shoulder restriping on southbound Las Vegas Boulevard between Sloan Lane and Hollywood Boulevard
- Drivers should use caution due to altered traffic patterns associated with EDC operations
5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13:
- Southbound I-15 off-ramp to eastbound Sahara Avenue closed
- Sahara Avenue south bridge near Las Vegas Boulevard closed
- Restrictions associated with the EDC World Parade event
1 p.m. Friday, May 15 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 17:
- Altered traffic patterns on northbound I-15 near Exit 52, Exit 54, and Exit 58 (Apex)
- Traffic impacts on Las Vegas Boulevard between Nellis Boulevard and Apex
- Traffic impacts on Craig Road between Nellis Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard
- Delays expected between 2 p.m. and 6 a.m.; motorists should use caution and consider alternate routes
Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
