Clark County opened the application process for community members interested in serving on the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board of Directors, seeking candidates to fill an upcoming vacancy on the governing body responsible for major professional sports venues across the valley.
The Stadium Authority manages ownership and operational oversight for both the National Football League stadium project and the planned Major League Baseball stadium development. In addition to holding title to the facilities and underlying public land, the board is responsible for administering statutory waterfall revenue distributions and managing capital improvement funds and related facility expenditures.
The Clark County Board of Commissioners plans to appoint one representative to the nine-member board during its regular meeting on Dec. 1. The appointment carries a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2027, and concluding Jan. 1, 2031. Members of the stadium board serve in a volunteer capacity and receive no compensation.
To qualify for appointment, prospective applicants must reside within 25 miles of the Clark County Government Center in downtown Las Vegas. County administrators encouraged interested individuals to examine the position’s statutory background and experience recommendations prior to applying.
Completed applications must be submitted through the county’s online portal no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 16 to be considered for the seat.
