The City of North Las Vegas announced it will host its seventh annual Paws in the Park festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, bringing pet wellness resources, seasonal activities and free veterinary services to Aliante Nature Discovery Park.
Presented by the North Las Vegas City Council, the city’s Animal Protection Services division and animal welfare nonprofit Hearts Alive Village, the free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2627 Nature Park Drive. The four-hour gathering pairs community recreation with preventive veterinary care designed to expand access to essential health resources for local pet owners.
A central component of the festival is the Pet Health & Wellness Fair, where veterinary teams from Hearts Alive Village will provide free on-site pet vaccinations and microchips. Staff members will also conduct general wellness exams and distribute vouchers for spay and neuter services while supplies last, offering critical preventive medical support to residents who reserved appointments ahead of the event.
In addition to health services, the celebration features Halloween-themed family activities throughout the park grounds, including trick-or-treat stations, local food trucks, community entertainment and a costume pet parade.
The event will also culminate in an awards ceremony recognizing participants in the Doggie Costume Contest and the Dog & Human Twinning Photo Contest. Pet owners submitted photographs of creative companion ensembles ahead of the event, with judges set to present awards to the top contestants during the afternoon gathering.
